Healthy Soul Talk PLLC is a mental health counseling practice in Maywood, Illinois. The practice serves individuals, families, and organizations seeking counseling, education, and clinical supervision, with a focus on promoting mental wellness from a holistic perspective. Healthy Soul Talk was founded to provide clinical and professional development services in behavioral health, working with clients on issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship and intimacy concerns, adolescent challenges, and substance abuse. Dr. Kimberly Thomas leads the practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Partner Abuse Intervention Professional, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, with more than 19 years of experience in the behavioral health field and community outreach. She provides clinical supervision for graduate students and new professionals seeking licensure, and offers professional development trainings covering faith-based counseling ministries, at-risk populations, cultural diversity, mental health and suicide, urban trauma, and stress management. The team uses talk therapy as a foundation, supplemented by expressive and creative interventions to help clients explore the change process. Telehealth sessions require a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, an internet connection of at least 1 megabit per second, and a private space free of distractions, with sessions conducted through SimplePractice software.

The practice is located at 1701 South 1st Avenue, near the Eisenhower Expressway and Madison Street, and close to the Maywood Village Hall and Proviso East High School. The Des Plaines River is about half a mile away. The practice now provides services in Illinois, Indiana, and Georgia.
