Jamie the Scholar Private Tutoring of Lake Zurich

Jamie the Scholar Private Tutoring is a Tutoring Service in Lake Zurich, IL. The business offers one‑on‑one subject tutoring and ACT/SAT preparation for students of all ages, with services that include math, reading, writing, Spanish, French, and special‑education support. It emphasizes affordable, personalized instruction built around comprehensive assessments and strategies designed to boost confidence and academic results. The company holds a 5.00 rating.

The tutoring model begins with an initial profile and assessment that identify skill gaps while also capturing the student’s perspective and learning preferences. A detailed assessment report outlines strengths, challenge areas, and recommendations, after which a single personal tutor is matched to the student and maintains ongoing communication with families. The methodology stems from a 25‑year teaching career developed by a Harvard University graduate who holds four advanced degrees in English, psychology/counseling, education, and leadership, and who has taught in both private and public settings for more than two decades. Staff members, including the founder Jamie and colleague Evelyn, specialize in reading, English, ACT/SAT, and college‑essay preparation, applying a philosophy that tailors pacing, modality, and interests to each learner’s unique “chemical formula” for success.

By combining rigorous assessment with the expertise of seasoned educators, Jamie the Scholar Private Tutoring delivers highly individualized instruction that helps Lake Zurich students achieve their academic goals.
