John Vaughn has worked in the flower business for 42 years, refining his skills at shops in Springfield, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada, before joining Barber Florist. Marsha Winget brings over 40 years of experience, having previously owned House of Flowers in Mt. Sterling and worked at County Market Floral and Hy-Vee Floral. She specializes in silk arrangements and is well versed in all aspects of floral design. The team also includes freelance designers who have worked holidays and as needed since the early 1990s.

The florist offers Designer's Choice arrangements, where designers hand-select color schemes, floral varieties, styles, and containers based on the season. Because of flower nature and seasonality, substitutions of equal or greater value may occur, with efforts made to maintain the look and feel of the arrangement. Product selections include peace lilies in pots, colorful wreaths, all white funeral arrangements, and various rose varieties. Deliveries use a routing system, allowing requests for before or after noon but not guaranteeing specific times, especially during holiday weeks. The shop accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
