The brewery was founded in 2015 by Cameron Lund and Grant Lodholz, who began their journey in college with home brewing, blending their shared passion for craft beer into a vision they named Bluewood, inspired by their college nicknames, “Ol’ Blue” and “Plywood.” By 2016, they joined forces with Michael and Joseph Jones to form the original four, eventually establishing a permanent home in the historic Lemp stables. Since opening in September 2019, Bluewood Brewing has built a reputation for pushing creative boundaries in brewing, combining artistry with technical precision. The team continues to refine its craft, drawing on years of experience and a deep-rooted connection to the St. Louis brewing scene.
