Established in 1990 by the Shaw Company, Luther Village sits on a lush 55-acre campus featuring mature trees, walking paths, restful gardens, and ponds. It offers a variety of spacious living options, including ranch-style Villas, Courtyard Homes, and condo-style buildings. This hub houses premier services and amenities, including a fitness center with an indoor pool, a salon, a library, and a billiards room. The community also features two on-campus restaurants providing an exceptional dining experience.

The cooperative ownership model allows residents to own stock in the Luther Village Owners’ Corporation instead of holding a title or deed. This structure ensures that residents or their estates realize the market value and appreciation of their home, rather than receiving just a partial refund of an entry fee. An extensive array of services is included in the monthly maintenance fee, such as professional on-site management, campus security, and building entry security. Safety features include in-home security systems with wireless personal medical alert systems and 24-hour emergency call systems in each home. Additional services cover exterior building maintenance, annual exterior window washing, landscaping, snow removal, grounds maintenance, refuse removal, scheduled transportation for shopping and off-campus excursions, and cable TV with an in-house information channel.

Luther Village is considered one of the finest over 55 communities in the state of Illinois. The community is designed to provide active seniors with services and amenities that increase their independence and freedom, along with activities that stimulate the mind, body, and spirit. Residents are relieved of exterior home maintenance, shoveling snow, and yard work, allowing more time to enjoy an independent life. The campus is located between Palatine Road and Euclid Avenue, just north of downtown Arlington Heights, with easy access to the Metra commuter rail, shopping, theater, and restaurants.
