Fiber Specialties is a family-run company led by two Certified Master Rug Cleaners, Devin and Derick, who combine IICRC and WoolSafe training with aviation-grade precision. The facility performs full-immersion hand-washing, a method that submerges rugs to flush embedded grit and pet residue from the foundation, rather than relying on surface cleaning. Every rug undergoes a pre-inspection where fiber, construction, and dye stability are assessed, resulting in a written report and estimate before work begins. The process includes advanced dusting to remove abrasive grit, spot treatment for stains and odors, and washing with pH-correct, color-safe solutions. Rugs are dried in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room to prevent shrinkage or color bleeding, then hand-groomed before delivery.

The team handles repairs such as fringe restoration, reweaving, and edge binding by hand. They also offer custom-cut felt rug pads and Fiber ProTector stain and UV protection for fine textiles. For aviation clients, they provide low-moisture cleaning for wool and silk cabin carpets, aircraft carpet repair, and jet interior detailing. The business has served the area since 2015, with staff including Violet, who handles repairs and equipment maintenance, and Josh, who manages pickup and delivery. The team’s credentials and specialized equipment allow them to clean fragile antique and silk rugs using conservation-safe methods.

Customers value the business for its detailed inspection process, written pricing, and the visible restoration of color and softness in hand-knotted rugs. The 5.00 rating from 322 reviews reflects consistent satisfaction with the care taken with heirloom textiles and the thoroughness of the full-immersion cleaning method. The business stands out locally for its dedicated facility and certified specialists who handle every stage of cleaning and repair in-house.
