Good Dogz KC is a dog training service in Kansas City, KS, located at 1603 NE 63rd St. The business provides expert in-home dog training for the Kansas City metro area, offering tailored, relationship-based programs for puppies, obedience, behavior, and reactivity. Andrew, the trainer, works with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds, focusing on building calm behavior and managing emotions under stress rather than creating obedient robots. Services include puppy training, obedience, reactivity, aggression, and anxiety management. The approach involves starting with the emotional side of behavior, using clear and fair boundaries to help dogs settle. Training sessions are conducted in the client’s home, treating the house as the classroom to ensure focus and real-world application. The trainer works with every dog in the household with no per-dog charge. Programs are customized to the client’s lifestyle, schedule, and specific needs. Support includes unlimited text, call, and email assistance for the lifetime of the dog. The business holds a 5.00 rating from customers who have reviewed it.

The training process begins with an assessment of the dog’s background and story, followed by a custom plan that builds foundations for desired behaviors. Sessions are approximately one hour long and occur every two to three weeks to allow time for practice. Clients are guided to practice specific skills for 10 to 20 minutes, three to five days a week, integrating training into daily routines like walks or doorbell rings. The trainer emphasizes low-pressure, engaging work that is fun for the dog. Equipment guidance is provided on what to use and how to use it. Packages range from short-term fixes to longer programs for reactivity, aggression, and multi-dog households. An immersive jump-start option is available where the dog trains at the trainer’s house around his family and dogs. The trainer has nearly seven years of experience, having worked with thousands of dogs and boarded hundreds. He ensures clients receive consistent, high-quality education rather than rotating staff.

Good Dogz KC combines nearly seven years of hands-on experience with a personalized, in-home coaching model to deliver lasting behavioral results for dog owners across the Kansas City metro.
