Gate City Brewing Company is a brewery in Roswell, Georgia, located at 43 Magnolia Street in the heart of Historic Roswell. The business operates a two-story taproom and 30bbl brewhouse, serving up to 20 house-brewed craft beers on draft, along with a rotating selection of house-crafted cocktails. As Roswell’s first craft brewery, founded in 2015 by Pat Rains and Brian Borngesser, it has become a cornerstone of the city’s growing craft beer culture. The brewery offers a vibrant community space featuring live music, taproom-exclusive beers, 6-packs, and events, drawing customers from across the north metro Atlanta area. With a 4.60 rating and a strong base of reviews, it is recognized for its consistent quality and local appeal.

The brewery occupies a revitalized space at the corner of Canton and Magnolia Streets, once home to two mechanic shops. The founders, who met through the Roswell Rotary Club, began their journey with homebrewing and evolved their passion into a full-scale craft operation. Their vision was to create a space rooted in community, history, and independent brewing. The Artillery Room, a 3,700 square-foot addition, serves as a gathering space with an outdoor terrace, loft seating, and a roll-up garage door that opens onto Canton Street, symbolizing the brewery’s connection to the neighborhood. The menu features eight signature cocktails, including the Teddy’s Tour, inspired by Theodore Roosevelt’s 1905 visit to Roswell, and a range of house-brewed beers such as Awe Juice!!! and GC Lite Lager.

Situated on Magnolia Street, the brewery is about a quarter mile from Canton Park, Faces of War memorial, and Alpharetta Highway, with North Atlanta Street and Pine Grove Road also nearby. The location places it within walking distance of key civic and recreational spaces in Historic Roswell.
