Hippo Storage

Hippo Storage is a storage facility in Kingsland, GA. The business operates the EAST location on GA HWY 40, offering self-storage units in single-level buildings with coded access, on-site management, multiple access doors, and free use of roll carts and dollies. Customers can also purchase packing supplies such as cardboard boxes and tape from the on-site store. The facility serves Camden County and surrounding areas with both short-term and long-term storage needs.

The business is part of HIPPO Moving + Storage, a family-owned and operated company that opened in 1999 and has been recognized as "Best of Camden" for over 20 years. What began as a small town storage facility run by a husband and wife has grown into a two-location operation that now includes their children and grandchildren. The company was the first climate-controlled storage facility of its kind to open in Camden County. Beyond traditional units, HIPPO offers portable storage containers built from industrial shipping containers, each able to hold the contents of a three-bedroom home, which are delivered to customers for house-to-house moves, remodeling projects, and homebuilding. The company's licensed and insured moving division provides residential and commercial moving services, including packing, loading, delivering, and unloading, with moves available both locally and nationwide and custom plans to fit varying budgets.

The facility sits on GA-40 in eastern Kingsland, about a fifth of a mile from Mariners Park Rec Center and half a mile from Gilligans Island Park, with Southeast Georgia Health System's Camden Campus located roughly seven tenths of a mile to the west. East King Avenue and Kingsland Saint Marys Road are both within a mile of the location.

Hippo Storage holds a rating of 4.70. Office hours run Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The 1999 founding and the family's continued hands-on involvement tie a long local track record to storage and moving services across Camden County.
