Dr. Andrea J. Washington originally comes from a small town in Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Pre-Medicine from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. She then attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry, where she received her Optometry Degree. Following her degree, she completed a one-year residency in Family Practice at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During that residency, she rotated through clinics specializing in primary care, glaucoma, retina, neuro-ophthalmology, cornea and contact lens, pediatrics, and low vision. Dr. Washington is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association’s Cornea and Contact Lens Section, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the National Optometric Association.

The practice offers a wide range of vision and medical services, including routine eyeglass exams for adults and children aged seven or older, and contact lens exams for soft, spherical, toric, and multifocal lenses. Medical services include diabetic eye exams, foreign body removal, treatment of diseases such as glaucoma, cataract evaluations, allergy treatment, dry eye treatment, eye injuries and emergencies, red eye exams, and LASIK consultations.
