Southside Medical is a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Serving metropolitan Atlanta families for nearly 60 years, this non-profit, federally qualified health center provides a wide range of medical services, including pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s health, dentistry, optometry, and urgent care.
Founded in 1967 as the Atlanta Southside Comprehensive Health Center, the organization is Georgia’s oldest and one of the largest community-based health centers. Led by President and Chief Executive Officer David M. Williams, M.D., and governed by a community-based Board of Directors, the center is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to underserved populations. The facility offers various support services for patients with disabilities or limited English proficiency, including qualified interpreters and TTY communication. Beyond its Atlanta location, the center maintains multiple offices throughout the metro area, including sites in Norcross, East Point, Riverdale, and Decatur.
Southside Medical Center is recognized by the National Association of Community Health Centers for possessing one of the nation's best primary health care delivery systems for the medically underserved. The center's commitment to transparency is reflected in its achievement of the Guidestar Gold Seal of Transparency.
