Central Florida Electrician was incorporated in 1996 by Glen Jordan, who started the business with a single pickup truck from a home office in Ft. Lauderdale. The company was originally named Electric Company of South Florida, Inc. In 2001, Glen Jordan hired Doug Spence Sr., a classmate from the IBEW electrical trade school in 1988, who now serves as President and Owner. The two expanded the business by focusing on responsiveness, setting clear expectations, and meeting deadlines. The company later changed its name to Central Florida Electrician to better reflect its location and focus. The firm emphasizes fair pricing and avoids pushing unnecessary upsells, a practice it credits for maintaining customer relationships and repeat business since 1996.

Located at 243 N Texas Ave, the office is situated about a tenth of a mile from Old Winter Garden Road and West Washington Street. It is approximately three-tenths of a mile from Rock Lake Elementary School, the Westfield neighborhood, the Rock Lake Community Center, and Rock Lake Park.

The business holds a rating of 4.90 from customers who have reviewed it. Central Florida Electrician stands as a long-standing local electrical contractor in Orlando, known for its licensed expertise and consistent service since 1996.
