Brighten Learning Center

Brighten Learning Center is a Tutoring Service in Keystone, FL, located at 174 S Lawrence Blvd.

The center was founded by two homeschooling mothers, Mrs. Mullen and Sarah Thompson, who began by organizing small co-ops in their homes before expanding into a dedicated facility. Mrs. Mullen is a certified teacher with a Biology degree and a Master’s in Education from the University of Florida, and she previously taught at Melrose Elementary. Sarah Thompson holds an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Saint Leo University. Together, they designed a curriculum focused on hands-on, project-based learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

Students engage in STEAM classes that emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. The programs are designed to build confidence and real-world skills through experiments and activities rather than rote memorization. The center offers weekly STEAM adventures and in-depth project-based experiences for various age groups. They also provide guidance and resources for families considering homeschooling, offering face-to-face conversations to help navigate the process. Additionally, Brighten Learning Center is a direct provider for the Step Up PEP and UA scholarship programs, assisting families in securing spots for their children. The center operates Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and maintains a strict no-refund policy for STEM classes, requiring booking at least one week in advance.

Brighten Learning Center combines the expertise of certified educators with a community-focused approach to help students in Keystone and surrounding areas discover a passion for learning.
