Montessori Golden Gate Estates Home Preschool LLC. of Gulf Gate Estates

Montessori Golden Gate Estates Home Preschool LLC. of Gulf Gate Estates is a preschool in Gulf Gate Estates, FL, located at 110 Wilson Blvd S. The school follows the Montessori approach to learning, developed more than a century ago by Italian physician and educator Dr. Maria Montessori. That approach honors the development of the whole child - physical, social, emotional, and cognitive - and treats each child as naturally eager for knowledge. It is based on ideals of equity, inclusion, and social justice, and includes care of self, others, and the environment.

In the classroom, individual students follow their own interests while also learning from others. Time is given so students can explore and internalize concepts at their own pace while working toward individualized learning goals. Teachers serve as guides and mentors, observing and assessing students' progress and providing support and tools so children may take ownership of their own learning and growth. Learning takes place across visual, auditory, and tactile modalities.

Montessori education is built on five core components: properly trained teachers who hold credentials for the level at which they teach; multi-age classrooms where students benefit from differentiated learning based on abilities rather than age; specially designed hands-on learning materials that let students learn through discovery; student-directed work that builds intrinsic motivation; and uninterrupted work periods in which students develop concentration, time-management skills, and a love for learning. Given the freedom and support to question, probe deeply, and make connections, Montessori students grow into critical thinkers and self-directed learners.

The preschool sits on Wilson Blvd S in Gulf Gate Estates.
