Master Nick Scrima has been involved in martial arts for over 50 years, beginning with Karate, Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu before transitioning to Chinese martial arts in his late teens. He opened his first school in Parma, Ohio, in December 1981 and has taught professionally on a full-time basis ever since. During the 1980s, he operated schools in the greater Cleveland area with branches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. In 1992, he promoted the Great Lakes Kung Fu Championship, one of the first tournaments in North America dedicated solely to Chinese martial arts. In 1993, he relocated to Clearwater, Florida, where he has continued to operate schools and pass on knowledge acquired from renowned masters. The school is located at the intersection of McMullen Booth and Enterprise Roads within the Northwood Oaks Shopping Center.

The location sits on McMullen Booth Road, about a quarter mile from the Wild Bird Habitat park and Bishop Creek. It is also near the Imperial Pines and The Estates at Countryside neighborhoods.
