Established in 1994 as the first professional piercing studio in northern Colorado, Tribal Rites has expanded to offer a vast jewelry collection featuring brands such as BVLA, Sacred Symbols, Body Gems, Le Roi, Buddha, and Diablo. Much of the jewelry selection consists of solid 14 karat gold and titanium, with additional stock in silver, brass, and glass. The studio's team brings over 60 years of combined piercing experience and 70 years of tattooing experience to their clients. Ownership is shared by Curtis Burgess and Chad Williams.

The studio is located on S College Ave, situated across from the CSU campus. The location is near the intersection of East Laurel Street and West Mulberry Street, and is close to the public artwork known as Poetry.
