Bondadoso Coffee and Tea Collective of Walnut Creek

Bondadoso Coffee and Tea Collective is a coffee shop in Walnut Creek, California. It serves coffee and tea for dine-in or takeout, and holds a rating of 4.50 from customer reviews. The shop opens every day except Christmas, with hours from 6am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 7am to 7pm on weekends.

The shop was inspired by the owner's late sister Lori, whose kindness toward family and friends shaped its character; Bondadoso is Spanish for "kind." The intent is a place for people to gather and share coffee and tea in an uplifting, welcoming environment. The team describes its approach not as a mission or vision but as a way of being, with a focus on how coffee and tea are grown, where they are grown, how they are bought, roasted, blended, and shared.

The coffee program includes a traditional espresso bar, a single cup brew bar offering coffees from growing regions around the world, and a cold-brew bar with eight cold brew coffee and tea offerings, among them nitro-coffee and nitro-tea. A retail area carries a collection of coffee and tea from micro-roasters and micro-tea producers, each with its own story. The shop also hosts events and maintains a blog covering topics such as the origins of coffee in Ethiopia, cold brew, and developing your palate.

The shop sits on N Broadway, about 0.2 miles from the Walnut Creek Post Office, the Walnut Creek Superior Court, and Walnut Creek Intermediate, and a similar distance from Lawrence Way, North Civic Drive, and Ygnacio Valley Road.

Its positive rating reflects the customers who have taken the time to review it, and it pairs that standing with a coffee and tea program built around single-cup brewing, cold brew, and small producers. For Walnut Creek, it is a Broadway coffee shop where the coffee is the point and kindness is the premise.
