Lana Starr’s journey into floral design began over 20 years ago in the gardens of her childhood. She founded Dream Flowers in Alameda, California, in 2012, and relocated the studio to San Leandro in 2016. The design process begins with a conversation to understand a client's vision and venue. Dream Flowers provides custom proposals that include detailed diagrams so clients can visualize the finished space before any flowers are ordered. Clients are invited to meet in the studio to touch the actual flowers and confirm their selection. The team includes designers Sydney, Irina, Kim, Grace, and Sophia, who assist with execution and creative direction.

The studio also designs florals for galas, private parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and intimate gatherings. The process includes a mid-term meeting around sixty days before the event to review details and a final meeting around thirty days out to confirm everything. The studio is open Tuesday through Friday from 09:30 am to 5:00 pm, and by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays for events. Mondays are closed.

Dream Flowers holds a 5.00 rating based on customer reviews and has received a Yelp Best of Award. The studio is known for its personalized approach and meticulous attention to detail for weddings and special events in the San Leandro area.
