The shop also runs a lock and key service: remotes, lost key help, key repair, duplication, reprogramming and upgrades, and IMMO installation and programming. Military members and veterans receive a 25 percent discount on regular priced transmissions and general mechanic work. The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Low Cali Transmissions is a family-owned company founded in 2025, with roots in Ensenada, Mexico. The family grew up largely in the United States, built their family here, and worked in large automotive companies before opening their own workshop. The shop specializes in vehicle transmission rebuilding, a service the owners note few certified mechanics provide today. Their stated approach is to explain every detail of the service clearly, avoid unnecessary surprises, and prioritize the customer. They aim to give peace of mind to those who trust them, particularly U.S. military personnel and veterans. The shop sits on Oceanside Boulevard, about a tenth of a mile from Crouch Street and its train station, and roughly the same distance from Loma Alta Creek. Skylark Park is about 0.2 miles away. It holds a rating of 3.10.
