Admiral Pest Control was founded in 1947 by Walter Lance, who started the business out of his home in Bellflower. Walter made the service calls while his wife answered phones and took orders. By 1950, the business had moved to a larger location on Artesia Street, where it still operates. During the post-WWII housing boom, demand for pest-free homes helped the company thrive. Walter’s daughter, Betty, and son-in-law, Earl Jones, joined the business, guiding growth through the 1960s and 1970s. Earl’s sons, Jeff and Brian, joined the company in 1970. The business is family-owned and operated, passed down through four generations. Jeff Jones notes that his father always told him to treat employees and customers the way he would want them to treat him, a rule he and his brother live by. The company describes itself as the oldest family-run pest control company in the area and one of the oldest in Southern California, still owned and operated by the same family.

Admiral Pest Control stands as a long-established family business in Long Beach, CA, serving the region with residential and commercial pest control since 1947.
