The historic Flower Bowl Florist has been part of Walnut Creek for more than 70 years. Starting in what is now Broadway Plaza in a round glass building, hence the name "bowl", the shop relocated to Boulevard Circle in the charming Saranap neighborhood at Mount Diablo Blvd. & Hwy 24 where it still stands today. Throughout the Flower Bowl’s 30+ year history, it has been solely family owned and operated, but a brand new owner has taken the helm. Heather Lis is a native of the East Bay, hailing from Danville and living in Walnut Creek for many years. She has been in the floral design industry since 2010. Stemming from a lifelong love of color and art, Heather, a mother of 4, was drawn to floral design when all her kids were in school and she had time to study the art form and hone her craft. Her passion was then ignited and since then she has worked in this dynamic industry. As fate would have it, 7 years ago, Heather walked into the Flower Bowl and began employment and a trusting friendship with the owner. Heather is now beyond delighted to take over the business and looks forward in continuing the stellar success of her predecessors as well as creating exciting new things for the future.
