Anchorage Music & Dance Center

Anchorage Music & Dance Center is a dance studio in Chignik Lagoon, AK. The center provides private and group music lessons as well as dance classes for students ranging from preschool age through teens. Their musical offerings include instruction for piano, guitar, drums, voice, violin, viola, cello, and electric bass, along with group classes for keyboard, guitar, and rock band. The studio's dance program features ballet, pre-pointe, and specialized classes for preschool-aged children.

With over 30 years of experience providing music instruction and 15 years of dance instruction, the center employs professional musicians who hold or are completing degrees in music performance or music education. The studio utilizes LessonMate, an innovative program that provides students with video demonstrations and lesson information to review between scheduled sessions. To ensure students never fall behind, the center uses a state-of-the-art camera and sound system to offer online lessons via Zoom. Music students have opportunities to perform in three formal annual recitals and participate in the monthly Music Club. The dance studios are equipped with floating marley floors designed to reduce injury risk, and class sizes are kept to a maximum of 10 students to ensure personal attention.
