They serve Alaskans, tourists, and visitors with tools to keep vehicles, equipment, and "big boy toys" clean and protected. In addition to car washing, Mudbusters offers Mutt-Busters, a self-service dog wash at two locations, and provides carpet shampooers at all sites. The business holds a rating of 4.10 based on customer reviews.

Founded in 1997 by the owner and his wife Karen, Mudbusters began at 500 S Knik Goosebay Road in Wasilla. A second location opened in 1999 at 110 Herning Ave, followed by a third at 1530 Financial Dr in 2001. The company has assisted with car wash projects in Juneau, Homer, Kenai, Soldotna, Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak, Palmer, Delta Junction, and Fairbanks. Fully automated equipment operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Attended hours vary by site: Knik, Herning, and Financial locations are staffed from 9am to 6pm daily, while the Rupee location is attended from 7am to 9pm, extending to 10pm in summer. Self-serve facilities include 11 1/2-foot and 9 1/2-foot tall bays that can handle long trailers, except at the Rupee location, which is limited to 23 feet and no trailers.

Early on, the owner found that national soap brands were ineffective or costly for Alaska’s unique cleaning challenges. After testing a dozen brands including Blue Coral and Zep, Mudbusters partnered with Warsaw Chemical to develop specialty products engineered for the region. The company distributes these Warsaw Chemical products in Alaska, supplying car washes from Juneau to Fairbanks. Mudbusters also sponsors youth sports, local arts, and children’s services in Wasilla, the Mat-Su Borough, and Alaska. Contact numbers include 907-357-3400 for general assistance and 907-232-3038 for emergency support.

The business maintains a positive rating from customers, reflecting its long-standing presence in the community since 1997. Mudbusters Carwash Co combines nearly thirty years of local expertise with specialized products to keep Big Lake and Wasilla vehicles clean and protected.
