Upstate Home School Co-Op

Upstate Home School Co-Op is a K-12 school in Greenville, SC, serving homeschool families across the Upstate region. The co-op provides academic enrichment through classes in elementary, middle, and high school levels, taught by degreed professionals. It offers a Learning Differences program to support students with documented challenges and operates a dual enrollment partnership with North Greenville University, allowing qualified students to earn college credit. The co-op is organized and administered by paid staff and teachers under the oversight of a Board of Directors, with campuses located at Hampton Heights in Greenville, Grace Church in Greenville, Church at the Mill in Spartanburg, and Clearview Baptist Church in Travelers Rest.

Founded in 1997 in the Brown family home, the co-op began with 19 students and has grown into a multi-campus organization. It is led by Suzanne Brown, who holds degrees in elementary and early childhood education from Furman University and has been homeschooling since 1995. The organization uses Jupiter Ed, a digital platform, for grading, assignment tracking, and communication between teachers, students, and parents. Each campus has a designated technology coach to support digital operations. The co-op emphasizes spiritual, social, emotional, and academic development, aiming to glorify God through its educational mission.

The co-op is located on Wade Hampton Blvd in Greenville, near the Wade Hampton Fire Department, Chick Springs Summary Court, and The UPS Store, all within a short distance. It is also situated close to the neighborhood of Botany Woods and the Hidden Treasure School, which lies about 0.8 miles away.
