Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church

Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church is a parish in Greenville, SC, serving the West End district of downtown with a deep commitment to worship, outreach, and community. The church offers a range of services rooted in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, including a Low Mass at 8:30 AM, a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children ages 3-9 at 9:30 AM, and a Sung High Mass with incense at 10:30 AM, which is also streamed online. Additional weekly gatherings include Morning Prayer, a clergy-led Bible study, and a Healing Mass. Central to the church’s mission is the Feed Thy Neighbor ministry, a Saturday morning breakfast program for those in need, which has expanded to include clothing drives through the “Clothe Thy Neighbor” initiative. The church also supports Project Host, a program addressing food insecurity through meal services and culinary training.

Located at 1002 South Main Street, Saint Andrew’s is situated in the heart of Greenville’s historic West End neighborhood, a vibrant area known for its walkable streets and cultural institutions. The church’s parish house serves as a hub for its outreach efforts, housing the breakfast and clothing distribution programs. The church’s founding traces back to 1900, when Reverend Alexander R. Mitchell established St. Andrew’s Mission to serve families on the west side of the Reedy River, responding to the need for accessible worship in a growing city. Today, the church continues this legacy through its mission to welcome all, serve the marginalized, and embody Christ’s reconciling love.

The church is led by Reverend J. Gary Eichelberger, Rector, and Reverend Molly McGee Short, Associate Rector, both of whom are deeply rooted in the local community.
