Terrence Xavier O'Brien, MD

Terrence Xavier O'Brien, MD is a cardiologist in Charleston, SC. Following his medical education, he completed an internal medicine residency at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and a clinical cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Additionally, he completed a two-year research cardiology fellowship in molecular cardiology as a Bugher Fellow. Since 1993, he has served as a professor of medicine and regenerative medicine at the Medical University of SC. His research career includes laboratory studies on the mechanisms of heart hypertrophy and failure, as well as participation in human clinical trials evaluating new medications and diagnostic techniques.
