Student Health & Wellness Center and Sternlicht Commons, Brown University is a university facility in Providence, RI. Brown Emergency Medical Services operates as a blended volunteer and paid service licensed by the State of Rhode Island. It provides 24/7 basic and advanced prehospital care to anyone requesting emergency aid through the Brown Communications Center. The service area covers the Brown campus as well as remote student or academic occupancies within the city of Providence. BEMS personnel are trained and equipped to provide the same level of services as other EMS agencies in Rhode Island, functioning as a collegiate ambulance corps with a unique mission. The facility is located at 450 Brook St, situated about a tenth of a mile from Meehan Auditorium, The Wheeler School, and the East Side Post Office.
