Tilted Barn Brewery

Tilted Barn Brewery is a brewery and food truck destination in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It holds a rating of 4.70 from the customers who have reviewed it. Rhode Island's original farm brewery, it was established in 2014 and operates out of a New England-style post and beam barn, where small batch, hand-crafted ales are served fresh for a farm-to-pint experience. The brewery is owned by Kara and Matt Richardson, who run it with their Barn Crew. Its roots are in farming: in 2007 the couple founded Ocean State Hops, Rhode Island's first commercial hop farm, supplying hops to local homebrewers and breweries. After experimental homebrew batches, they converted a century-old barn into the original Tilted Barn, restoring the main section as a tasting room and turning the attached former horse stables into the production area. The brewery began on the family farm in Exeter, Rhode Island, and the motivation behind it has been to keep Kara's family tradition of farming alive. The tasting room is open Wednesday from 4-8pm, Thursday through Saturday from 12-8pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm. Seating is first come, first serve, with a large outdoor area where guests may bring their own chairs. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted, and the beer is poured at restaurants, bars, and liquor stores across Rhode Island.

The brewery sits on South County Trail, about 0.2 miles from Ten Rod Road and the same distance from South County Trail's main road corridor. Rolling Greens Golf Course is roughly half a mile away, Queens Fort Brook about 0.6 miles, and Reuben Brown Brook about 1.1 miles. The Postal Store post office is about 1.2 miles from the barn.

Kara and Matt Richardson have kept a family farming tradition alive since 2014, and the 4.70 rating reflects how customers regard the ales poured at the barn.
