Crawford County Art Center

Crawford County Art Center is a Pilates Studio in Bucyrus, OH. It operates as a retail and display art gallery, classroom, and event space. The center facilitates creative opportunities throughout the Crawford County community, including Galion, Crestline, and New Washington. It welcomes artists and visitors from neighboring counties such as Marion, Wyandot, Seneca, Richland, Morrow, Ashland, and Delaware. The 501(c)3 nonprofit Crawford County Arts Council serves as the governing board of directors.

The center’s history began in February 2013 when a group of people gathered to help residents find their voice through creative expression. They initially introduced themselves at the Bucyrus and Galion Farmers Markets and participated in community events like the annual car show and Candlelight Christmas. In 2017, the organization leased space to offer more classes and provide storage and a gallery. In 2025, it moved to its current location to feature a larger, more modern art gallery, an improved community classroom, and a new event space with a kitchen. The mission is to initiate, support, and preserve quality art experiences to strengthen the county culturally, educationally, and economically. Support comes from the Community Foundation for Crawford County, the Ohio Arts Council, the United Way of North Central Ohio, and membership contributions.

The studio is located at 117 N Sandusky Ave in the heart of Bucyrus. It sits on N Sandusky Ave, just steps from the Bucyrus Commercial Historical District and Washington Square. The Crawford County Courthouse is a short walk away, about 0.1 miles from the building.
