Rehoboth Mission Hospital was founded in 1910 by Protestant missionaries from the Christian Reformed Church to serve Native Americans. In 1916, the Poor Sisters of St. Francis took over a small infirmary that had been operating since 1895 to serve railroad workers. These institutions eventually merged in 1983 to form RMCHCS, consolidating resources to meet the region’s growing needs.
