Khushi Dance Academy

Khushi Dance Academy is a dance studio in North Bergen, NJ. The academy provides instruction in various dance forms, including Classical, Folk, and Bollywood, with a specialized focus on Bharatanatyam. The studio serves both children and adults, offering training that ranges from recreational enjoyment to professional preparation.

The academy follows the Bharatanatyam syllabus of the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), training students in both the practical and theoretical aspects required for the traditional maargam. Artistic Director Sonal Jhaveri, who holds the title of Vidushi, brings extensive experience to the studio, having trained for 14 years under the renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy. Through her years of teaching, Jhaveri has focused on helping students gain control over mind, body, and soul while fostering discipline, concentration, and an appreciation for Indian culture.

Located on John F. Kennedy Blvd, the studio is situated near John F Kennedy Number 7 Elementary School and Veterans' Memorial School. It is a short walk from 10th Street Park and is positioned near the intersection of Paterson Plank Road and John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
