The facility serves as the only full-service heart hospital in Hudson County, offering cardiac surgery and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements. It also provides advanced vascular care in partnership with Rutgers University and delivers multidisciplinary cancer care through its Infusion Center and Radiation Oncology facility. The hospital includes the Abercrombie Guild Pediatric Emergency Department, which is Hudson County’s only Pediatric ED.

The Center for Comprehensive Care began in 1987 through a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and has grown to serve 1,000 clients annually. Services include counseling and testing, PrEP counseling, Hepatitis C treatment, primary and specialty medical services, mental health services, and in-home care. The hospital holds several recognitions, including Five-Star awards for outpatient prostate care, hip fracture treatment, and pacemaker procedures. It earned a grade A score in Hospital Safety from the Leapfrog Group and is certified as a Primary Stroke Center.

The medical center is located at 1825 John F. Kennedy Blvd, sitting directly on the main road. It is situated about a quarter mile from the Jersey City Public Library Earl A. Morgan Branch and the Afro-American Historical Society Museum. The campus is also near Old Bergen Road, PS 34 Barack Obama Elementary School, and McAdoo Avenue, placing the facility within a short walk of these local landmarks.
