Studio 73 Dance

Established in the fall of 1999 by founder Michele Benton Edwards, the studio is currently under the direction of Casey Fitzsimonds, a graduate of East Carolina University with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. The teaching staff consists of college graduates who participate in annual national dance conventions, workshops, and seminars to maintain their professional education. The facility features two 1,000 square foot studios equipped with modern musical equipment, ballet barres, wall-to-wall mirrors, and Harlequin Marley flooring with a shock absorbent sub-floor. Beyond regular classes, the studio offers summer camps for beginner and intermediate dancers, as well as summer intensives for intermediate and advanced students. These intensives include workshop-style training in styles such as Commercial Jazz, Ballroom, and Musical Theatre.
