Davesté Vineyards is a winery in Huntersville, North Carolina. Serving the Lake Norman region, this boutique winery produces award-winning North Carolina wines and offers a variety of experiences including wine tastings, tours, live music, and special events. The property features a tasting room, an art gallery, an event pavilion, a microbrewery, and scenic walking trails with waterfalls.
The vineyard was established by Dave and Esté DeFehr, who began their journey in 2004 by planting the first vines on a 60-acre site in Troutman. Following their first successful harvest in 2007, the tasting room and art gallery opened in 2008. The winery has since expanded, replacing the original facility with a new state-of-the-art winery in 2022. Following the artistic methodology of founder Estèr DeFehr, the winery features wine labels showcasing original work by established North Carolina artists using mediums such as watercolor, pastel, oil, and acrylic. The winemaking process is led by winemaker Meg Tipton.
Davesté Vineyards is located on Lytton Farm Rd.
The winery is recognized for its commitment to quality, earning numerous awards including the North Carolina “double gold” medal, an honor reserved for the best wines in the state. As a producer within the prestigious North Carolina viticultural tradition, the establishment stands as a distinguished destination for wine enthusiasts.
With a reputation for excellence and award-winning production, Davesté Vineyards remains a premier destination for fine wine and scenic beauty in Huntersville.
