Kevin pursued formal training in enology and viticulture at Surry Community College and began construction of the winery in November 2005, serving as general contractor and laborer. He continues to oversee all aspects of production, from grape cultivation to winemaking. Kim Moore, who grew up in Person County, earned an accounting degree from Elon College and worked as a financial analyst at Duke Hospital before joining her husband in business. She now co-owns the winery and helps manage its operations.
