The winery's foundation is built upon the expertise of owner Dan Murphy, who spent a decade managing a mobile wine bottling business in California. This experience provided him with deep insight into various winery processes and tasting rooms. The winery utilizes hardy, indigenous North American grape varieties, such as Vitis Riparia, which are capable of withstanding extreme Montana temperatures. After purchasing the property in 2017, the winery officially opened its tasting room and cellar doors in 2021.
