The Discovery Center

The Discovery Center is a daycare in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This nonprofit organization provides entertaining, hands-on adventures in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) for all ages. The center serves the local community through engaging, interactive exhibits designed to inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

As an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, the center features 60,000 square feet of exhibit space spread across six different floors. Notable offerings include the largest gallery of giant animatronic dinosaurs in the Midwest, a full-scale replica fire truck, and the Lu Digital Interactive Playground, which is the only one of its kind accessible to the public in North America. Visitors can explore Discovery Town, which includes Fire Station 3.14 and Graddy’s Playhouse, or engage with the newly remodeled Brickyard for LEGO building. The facility also features the HighWire Bike and various galleries such as BodyWorks, Phenomena, and Jurassic Discovery.

Located on W Michigan Ave, the center is situated near Arcadia Elementary School and a short drive from Stadium Drive.
