Mt Desert Campground is a campground in Mount Desert, Maine. Located on Mount Desert Island, the campground provides both waterfront and wooded sites for campers looking to explore the area near Acadia National Park. The facility offers various amenities including tenting sites, trailers, and RVs up to 20 feet, along with electric and water hookups, a launching ramp, and salt water swimming. Visitors can also access kayak, canoe, and SUP rentals to explore Somes Sound.

Established in 1958 by Marie and Arnold Allen, the campground was founded as a quiet, clean space for families to enjoy the natural beauty of Maine. The Craighead family has owned and operated the grounds since 1984, continuing a long-standing tradition of providing well-maintained facilities and a peaceful environment for generations of campers. The campground features amenities such as metered hot showers, salt water fishing, and an area for coffee, pastries, and ice cream.

The campground is situated on Sound Drive, approximately 0.7 miles from The Community School of Mount Desert Island and a short drive from Whalesback and Squantum Point.
