The Other Barn

The Other Barn is a wedding venue in Columbia, Maryland. Originally part of the Owings Dorsey Dairy Farm, the structure has a long history on land acquired in 1709. Once a dairy barn, the space has been remodeled to preserve its rustic charm while offering an elegant atmosphere featuring high wooden-beamed ceilings, new hardwood floors, and the Silo stairwell. The venue can accommodate up to 175 guests and offers a flexible approach by allowing clients to choose their own licensed caterers and vendors. To assist with event logistics, the facility provides a full kitchen, a large ice machine, and ice chests, and the staff assists with the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs according to a customized floor plan.

The venue is located on Robert Oliver Place, near the Oakland Mills Post Office and Bet Yeladim School. It is also a short distance from Oakland Mills Middle School and the Serenity Center.
