Swansea Pediatrics has served children in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island for over forty years from infancy to adulthood. We partner with families to provide the best possible care for the child. Founded by Dr. Linda Tartell in 1982, we have now grown to a caring workplace of six board certified physicians and care team. We are proud to be the only group in our area who are on staff at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and who are also members of the Pediatric Physician's Organization at Children’s Hospital Boston. We strive to provide your children and adolescents with premium quality medical care, guided by the American Academy of Pediatrics’ standards. When your child is a patient at Swansea Pediatrics, you will be seen for well visits by your own pediatrician, so you can form a close partnership in caring for your child. If your child requires a sick visit, we will do our best to accommodate your needs with your own doctor. However if they are not available that day, there are several other great doctors to assure your child is cared for in a timely manner. We take most insurances. We will also keep you informed through our patient portal. We are proud be a patient centered medical home. We work hard to provide comprehensive primary care that focuses on the relationships between you and your family, your doctor, and the medical staff. In addition to providing traditional medical treatment, we also make sure we are equally providing comprehensive care for special needs, mental health needs, and social needs. We understand children get sick at all times so we provide care 24 hrs a day as needed to help you avoid the emergency room for routine pediatric concerns. Services we offer include: Newborn appointments, Well and sick child care, Behavioral health care, Asthma education and management, Developmental screening, Virtual visits, Interpreter services, After hours care, Evidenced based care, Coordination of specialty care and emergency room services.
