Several campsites face the marshland and offer views of the Merrimack River toward the historic Newburyport area and Plum Island, the site of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.

The property is situated on Ccc Rd. It is about a third of a mile from Beach Road. Greak Brook is located about a mile away. The Salisbury Salt Marsh Wildlife Management Area is also about a mile from the campground. Pettengill Reservation is nearby, at a distance of about a mile. Shad Creek is located about a mile from the site. All visitors must check in and register at the office. Check-in time is 2:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm. Day pass holders must leave by 9:00 pm.
