American Warrior Arts of Dyer

American Warrior Arts of Dyer is a Martial Arts School in Dyer, IN. It offers traditional martial arts classes for ages 3 through adults, designed to teach self-defense in a lighthearted manner while guiding students toward personal development. The curriculum combines the teachings of traditional Hapkido and Ninpo Taijutsu, incorporating modern-day weaponry to form a practical self-defense system. The current owner and chief instructor, Lucas-Mario Dieguez, began his martial arts training at age 3 and attended Purdue University Northwest, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a focus in Broadcasting in 2021. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and received multiple honors society recognitions. He began serious training at age 14 under Master and Founder Richard Hansen, becoming an assistant instructor for the Lil Ninjas program within a year. Dieguez has trained in Kuma Kan, Hapkido, Ninpo Taijutsu, Judo, and Kali. He earned his black belt in Hapkido in 2015 and in Ninpo Taijutsu in 2018. In 2017, he was awarded the Esteemed Instructor Award. In 2020, he became the heir to American Warrior Arts, establishing the first teacher-student lineage and serving as the second Kwan Jang. He currently holds a 5th-degree black belt in Hapkido.
