Nearwood Winery

Nearwood Winery is a winery in Knoxville, Iowa. This family-run establishment produces wine on-site using Midwest-variety grapes grown and hand-crafted on their homestead. They serve the local area with a variety of red and white wines ranging from dry to sweet, alongside beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and bistro-style food. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, indoor and outdoor seating, and a selection of local art and books.

The winery is operated by Mike and Joann and opened for business in August of 2018. The property features approximately 2,000 square feet of public gathering space, including a stage equipped with lighting and a microphone for performances or presentations. Beyond wine production, the winery serves as a creative hub, hosting the Marion County Writers Workshop weekly and a monthly book club. The grounds also include an RV camping area for Harvest Hosts and RV Overnight members, as well as scenic views and vineyard access.

The winery is located on IA-14, situated directly off the highway on the west side of the road.
