Momentum Dance Maui

Momentum Dance Maui is a dance studio in Kahului, HI. The studio aims to inspire well-rounded and enthusiastic dancers through training for both pre-professional and recreational students. It maintains a safe and positive environment where dancers can thrive, focusing on injury prevention through sound teaching methods and the physical and emotional well-being of its students. The studio serves all ages, abilities, races, cultures, and communities, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.

The instructional team brings over 100 years of combined teaching experience and diverse professional backgrounds. Most instructors hold college degrees in dance and education, with staff including current and former dance professionals, school teachers, Rockettes, backup dancers, and photographers. The leadership and instruction are provided by Katie Higuchi and Alannah Andersen as Directors and Instructors, while Moka Brown serves as the Administrative Manager. Kathleen Mckeon acts as an Instructor and Nutcracker Artistic Director. Other instructors on the team include Lauren Gutierrez, Jackie Dowsett, Katie Whiticar, Ajja DeShayne, Karli Jo List, Emalia Tillotson, Catalina Parsons, and Mariana Siok. Tuition is structured in four installments for six-week sessions, with class lengths ranging from 30 to 75 minutes. Summer offerings include a five-day Imagineer Camp for ages 7 to 11 and a five-day Magical Camp for ages 3 to 6.

The studio holds a rating of 4.60. Its approach to excellence, safety, positivity, integrity, and diversity reflects a dedicated effort to support confident growth for every dancer in the Maui community.
