Gate City Brewing Company

Gate City Brewing Company is a brewery in Roswell, Georgia. It operates a 30bbl brewhouse and a 3,000 square foot taproom serving up to 20 house-brewed craft beers on draft, along with house-made cocktails. The brewery holds a rating of 4.60.

Gate City was founded by Pat Rains and Brian Borngesser, who met at a Roswell Rotary Club meeting roughly ten years before the brewery opened. The two connected over home brewing and community service, and two flagship beers emerged from that period: Copperhead Amber, brewed in Pat's garage, and 1864 IPA, brewed in Brian's. The vision for Roswell's first craft brewery took shape as a business plan in 2012, and in 2015 that plan became Gate City Brewing Company.

The brewery occupies a two-story space in the heart of Historic Roswell, built into what was formerly two Roswell mechanic shops. The Artillery Room, a 3,700 square foot gathering space, offers eight house-crafted cocktails on draft alongside Gate City's packaged beer, with upstairs loft seating and an outdoor terrace. A roll-up garage door on Canton Street opens the compound to the taproom. The taproom hosts live music each weekend, taproom-exclusive beers, six-packs, and community events.

The brewery sits on Magnolia Street at the corner of Canton and Magnolia Streets. Canton Park is about 0.2 miles away, as are North Atlanta Street, Pine Grove Road, Alpharetta Highway, and the Faces of War memorial.

Gate City Brewing Company is Roswell's first craft brewery, and its positive rating reflects the customers who have reviewed it.
