Pooler Muay Thai

Pooler Muay Thai is a martial arts school in Pooler, GA. It teaches Muay Thai, the "Art of Eight Limbs," training students to use their fists, elbows, knees, and shins for both offense and defense. Classes run on Thursdays and Saturdays. Instruction covers traditional Muay Thai techniques including powerful strikes, clinch control, and counterattacks, combined with modern training methods. Coach Tex leads the program and brings over 7 years of professional fight experience. The school also incorporates elements of American combat sports to build speed, agility, and functional strength. Training is guided by discipline, perseverance, and hard work, with the aim of developing striking skills and confident individuals prepared for self-defense. New students can try a week for free.

Pooler Muay Thai is part of America's Best Pooler Karate, Krav Maga, and Jiu Jitsu, which offers training in Tang Soo Do, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside the Muay Thai program. The school's mission centers on character development and making martial arts accessible to everyone, regardless of financial, physical, or cognitive challenges. Owner and Master Instructor Carson Fortner began training in 1994 under Charles Prescott in Sylvania, Georgia, earned his first-degree Black Belt in American Tang Soo Do in 2005, and earned his fourth degree in December 2014, giving him the title of Master. Angelina Grant serves as Head Instructor and continues training toward her third-degree Black Belt. The school hosts events including camp weeks and belt testing for its Krav Maga, Tang Soo Do, and Lil' Rollers programs.

The school is located on S Rogers St in Pooler, about 0.2 miles from Pooler Recreation Park and the City of Pooler Fire-Rescue Headquarters and Station 1. The West Chatham Branch Library and Pooler Town Hall are each about 0.4 miles away.
