Jon Thompson is a coffee farmer and a co-founder and CEO of Comunidad Connect. Born and raised in Atlanta, he graduated from Centre College in 1997 with a B.A. in History, first visited Nicaragua in 1998 and returned every year after, and married his wife from there in 2002. He earned a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Community Partnerships from Georgia State University the same year. He and Arelis moved to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, full time in 2005, where Comunidad Connect was founded, and after ten years there returned to Atlanta, where they live with their children, Jon Rockett and Camila.
