Andretti Thrill Park

Andretti Thrill Park was a bowling alley and amusement destination in Melbourne, FL, located at 3960 S Babcock St. For 27 years, it served the community with go-kart races and family-friendly entertainment before permanently closing in March 2026. The site, situated on S Babcock Street, has been redeveloped into a new apartment complex called Melbourne Thrill Park Apartments, which will include 324 units across 11 three-story buildings on a 16-acre parcel. Of these, 130 units will be designated as affordable housing for households earning up to 80% of the median income in Brevard County. The project is expected to be completed by March 2028.

The closure was announced in a report by Florida Today, which noted that the former amusement park’s location now bears a sign thanking the community for its support over more than two decades. The redevelopment reflects broader growth trends in the region, with new housing projects emerging near major infrastructure like Kennedy Space Center and along the Space Coast corridor. The site’s transformation marks the end of a long-standing local landmark and the beginning of a new residential phase in Melbourne’s evolving urban landscape.

Andretti Thrill Park is no longer in operation. The business has permanently closed, and its physical location has been repurposed for residential development.
