Camp Laurel

Camp Laurel is a summer camp in Westport, CT. Located on the shores of Echo Lake in the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine, the camp provides a 6.5-week season focused on the development of new interests and skills. The program serves children through a core six-part curriculum consisting of Athletics, Waterfront, Tennis, Adventure, Inter-Arts, and Equestrian activities.

The camp's program is structured around an innovative scheduling system that offers campers increasing flexibility as they grow older. Younger campers follow a well-rounded schedule including swim instruction, tennis lessons, and a Junior Fitness Program, while older campers can choose from various electives. The facility features over 160 acres of waterfront property and extensive athletic amenities, including five large athletic fields, a gymnastics center, a fitness center, and an archery range. Special programming includes "S" Days, which feature buffet breakfasts and unique events like Carnival Day or bumper tubing, as well as intercamp tournaments in sports such as soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. The professional staff, composed of coaches, educators, and college students, works to maintain an environment centered on safety, health, and positive self-image.
