The Winery At Holy Cross Abbey is a winery in Canon City, CO, located at 3011 US-50. It produces Colorado wine and operates a tasting room and gift shop for visitors. The facility is situated on pastoral grounds nestled against the backdrop of the Wet Mountains.
The winery has won over 1,000 awards and medals in prestigious international wine competitions. Larry Oddo purchased the winery in 2005 after a career in accounting, moving to Cañon City with his family to guide the business. He holds a business degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has served in leadership roles with the Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont County Tourism Council, and the Cañon City Board of Education. Jeff Stultz serves as the Head Winemaker; he returned to Colorado from California in 2001, where he had worked as a cellar rat in a Sonoma winery. Stultz holds a degree in Golf Course and Sports Turf Management and transitioned into viticulture and enology. The tasting room offers guided flight tastings of the award-winning wines. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm from April through December, and 10 am to 5 pm from January through March. Sunday hours are 10 am to 5 pm during the main season and 12 pm to 5 pm in the winter months.
